1. What is Enigma by Serkai?
Enigma by Serkai is a Paris-based treasure hunt playable worldwide, where art, history, culture, and mystery merge into a thrilling real-world game. Clues are delivered through our online show, airing on YouTube. Each hunt is structured around a specific theme, challenging players to decode riddles, uncover secrets, and ultimately claim victory. 2. Do I need to be in Paris to play?
Being in Paris is definitely an advantage, as it allows Seekers to explore locations in person and immerse themselves fully in the hunt. However, some Cycles can be solved entirely online if you have strong research skills and a sharp eye for details. Need real-time feedback? The hosts are just a message away.
With Season 4's major update, every Cycle description will specify whether it can be played online or requires an on-location search, as well as the difficulty level for both formats.
3. How do I start playing?
The best way to begin is to read our step-by-step guide, then jump straight in. You can play alone or with friends - whether you're solving puzzles solo or strategizing as a team, Enigma by Serkai is an exciting and immersive experience.
4. How does a Cycle work?
Each Cycle consists of multiple episodes, each containing individual clues that lead to letters, numbers, or key phrases. But solving a single Episode isn’t enough; you need to piece together all the clues across an entire Cycle to unlock the Major Cycle Enigma.
Think of it as a pyramid of riddles:
Each Episode provides smaller pieces of the puzzle.
By the final Episode, all the pieces fit together, revealing the final enigma.
Solve it, act upon it, and submit your answer to win the Cycle.
5. How do I submit my answer?
Once you've cracked the Major Cycle Enigma, it’s time to make your move. Submission methods vary from Cycle to Cycle; sometimes, you need to DM us, send an email, speak a secret phrase to the right person, or even retrieve a hidden Medallion.
If you don’t receive a response right away, don’t hesitate to follow up. Instagram DM is the fastest way to reach us.
6. What do I win if I solve the Enigma?
If you’re the first to solve the Enigma, you win the Cycle and receive:
An Enigma Medallion, proof of your victory.
A place on the Wall of Fame, forever marking your achievement.
An optional interview, to share your journey with the community.
A prize of your choice from the Reward Shrine.
The Reward Shrine is updated every season, so if there’s nothing that interests you immediately, you can hold onto your Medallion’s value and select a future reward instead. However, the Medallion itself is never returned, it remains yours as a souvenir of your victory.
7. Can I play solo, or do I need a team?
Both options are possible! Some Seekers prefer to tackle the challenge alone, while others team up for a shared adventure. Winning as a solo player offers personal glory, while playing as a team allows you to divide tasks and decode clues faster. Choose the approach that suits you best!
8. Is there a time limit to solve a Cycle?
The only limit is your competition; a Cycle remains open until someone solves it first. The faster you are, the better your chances.
With the upcoming Season 4 update, we are also considering a handicap system to balance competition. Champions who have already won multiple Medallions may receive minor time penalties, similar to the golf handicap system, to ensure that new players have a chance to compete while still respecting the skill of our best Seekers. After all, if we're adjusting the challenge, it's only because some of you are just too good!

10. How can I support Enigma by Serkai?
You can support by playing, engaging with our content, and spreading the word! Updating your subscription to Paid or Inner Circle helps keep the adventure going. You can also purchase official Enigma merchandise - not only will you own a piece of the mystery, but you'll also be directly contributing to the expansion of the game.
